Snowflake hat
Materials:
1 ball Peaches & Crème worsted weight cotton (2.5 oz) white
1 ball Peaches & Crème worsted weight cotton (2.5 oz) light blue
1 crochet hook, size G 4.00mm
Directions:
- With white: ch 6, join with sl st to make ring.
- ch 6, dc in ring, ch 6, sl st in 3rd chain from hook {makes picot}, (ch 4, sl st in 3rd ch from hook{makes picot}) twice, ch 1, skip next ch of previous ch 6, sl in next ch, ch 1, *(dc, ch 3, dc) in ring, ch 6, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, (ch 4, sl st in 3rd ch from hook) twice, ch 1, skip next ch of previous ch 6, sl in next ch, ch 1: Repeat from * 4 more times (you will have a 6 point snowflake), join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 6, finish off.
- With blue: Join blue with a sl st to the top point of the snowflake, by going through the picot, ch 1, sc in same space, *ch 2, sc in next picot, ch 1, tc in ch 3 space, ch 1, sc in next picot, ch 2, sc in next picot, Repeat from * 4 times, ch 2, sc in next picot, ch 1, tc in ch 3 space, ch 1, sc in next picot, ch 2, sl st in beginning sc. (60 stitches).
- Sc, ch 2, * skip next 2 stitches and sc in 3rd stitch, ch 2, Repeat from * 19 times, sl st in beginning sc, sl st in ch 2 space. Place stitch marker in this space.
- *Ch 3, sc in ch 2 space, Repeat from * for one round. Place stitch marker.
- *Ch 3, sc in ch 3 space, Repeat from * for 2 rounds. Place stitch marker.
- *Ch 4, sc in ch 3 space, Repeat from * for one round. Place stitch marker.
- *Ch 4, sc in ch 4 space, Repeat from * for 8 rounds. Ch 4: join white and drop blue on 4th chain, but do not cut off/finish off blue.
- *sc in ch 4 space, ch 4, repeat from * for 2 rounds. On last ch 4 drop white and pick up/join blue, 4 sc in *ch 4 space, ch 1, repeat from * for one round, sl st in beginning sc. Finish off. Weave all ends in.

I loved this hat! I made one in dark blue as a gift exchange gift and it was a hit! I was then asked to make 3 more for the children of my friends, which I gladly did!
